Skin Questions:
- Are your Skins easy to apply?
Yes, our Skins are easy to apply. They are custom designed and cut for each
system. They sometimes come in multiple pieces. If you take your time
and follow the instructions on this site or with the packaging, you should have no problem
making your device distinct and cool looking.
- Are the Skins easy to remove?
Yes, it is easy to remove the Skin should you choose to do so, leaving little or no residue behind. If needed, remove any remaining adhesive residue by rubbing the system cover with your fingertips or clean cloth. Once removed, however, the Skin will not adhere as well as the first time. Should you wish to reapply a Skin to your system, Skinit advises customers to use a new Skin.
Special Note for the XPS M1710:
The XPS M1710 has an Aluminum / Plated insert on the display back. Test results have shown that while the Skin is still easy to remove, some adhesive residue can remain in small areas. The residue is also easy to remove by rubbing it / rolling it up with your finger tips or clean cloth.
- How long will my Skin last?
All of our Skins are made out of the best premium grade glossy vinyl, are printed
using a special 6 color high resolution process, and coated with a clear coating for
additional protection.
- How often do you release new designs and support new devices?
We try to release new designs regularly keeping current with the latest trends and
styles. We also are working with Dell to support the latest system models.
- How do I apply my new Skinit Skin?
Prepare Your Computer
1. Turn off your computer and close the computer display.
2. Disconnect your computer and all attached devices from their electrical outlets, and disconnect any telephone or network cables from the computer.
3. Using a slightly damp cloth, wipe the computer cover, taking care not to get the computer wet.
4. Wipe the computer cover again with a cloth slightly dampened with rubbing alcohol to remove any dirt or oils.
5. Let the computer cover dry completely.
Remove the Skinit Skin from the Backing
Starting at one edge of the skin, gradually peel off the backing paper. Be careful not to allow the adhesive side of the skin to stick to itself.
Position the Skin
Hold the skin over the computer cover. Position the center cutout first and then align along the hinge. Carefully lay the skin on the computer cover without applying pressure.
NOTE: Skinit skins are custom designed and cut for each computer. If the skin does not line up correctly, carefully lift it off and reposition it. Avoid stretching any part of the skin, especially the narrow parts.
Apply the Skin
When you are satisfied with the position of the skin, firmly press the skin starting in the middle and working to the edges. Gently push any air bubbles out from under the skin.
NOTE: Once applied to the computer surface, most small creases and bubbles in the skin will disappear after time. If the creases or bubbles are large, you can slowly lift the skin up and carefully reapply. If you need to lift the skin from the surface, do so slowly so as not to stretch or tear the skin. If necessary, gently stretch the skin around the corners of the computer cover to get a tight fit.

PIN Codes cannot be redeemed at www.dell.com/skins. Please go to www.skinit.com to redeem your PIN Code.
- Currency Exchange
Currency exchanges are done at the time of purchase through your credit card company. Please
contact your individual issuer for details on their currency conversion rates.
- What is the Skinit Guarantee Policy?
Return Policy
Skinit Skins 30-Day Worry Free Return Policy
If for any reason you are dissatisfied with your skin purchase Skinit.com will replace the skin at no charge for an equal to or lesser amount skin within the first 30 days from your order date. If the replacement skin is a higher retail price, the customer will be charged the difference, including any applicable taxes that apply. If a refund is requested, Skinit.com will credit the customer the full purchase price of the order (Less any charged shipping charges, if applicable) in which Skinit.com received payment.
This credit process will begin once your skin is received back by Skinit.com and could take up to four weeks to complete.

Due to the unique nature of the printing process the exact color and design displayed on the website may not be printed on the final product. Skinit reserves the right to change the composition of any selected device design to insure a quality product. This may involve cropping, stretching, or skewing the design image to optimize the overall layout.
